Research assistant for a research project about Ukrainian children and adolescents’ wellbeing and integration
The ROCKWOOL Foundation Research Unit and University of Copenhagen are seeking a full-time research assistant who speaks Ukrainian and English or Danish for a duration of six months. The expected starting date is October 1, 2025. The position is based at the ROCKWOOL Foundation Research Unit in Copenhagen.
The project aims to map the mental health problems and social integration of Ukrainian refugee children and adolescents in Denmark by conducting two large surveys among, respectively, 9-14-year-old children and 15-20-year-old adolescents. The surveys will be conducted by Statistics Denmark.
We are looking for an independent, proficient and engaged person who speaks Ukrainian and English (or Danish) fluently, preferably with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in social science (psychology, sociology, economics etc.). The position is ideal for Ukrainians with an interest in survey methods and the integration of immigrants and refugees.
Your job will, i.a., consist of travelling around Denmark and presenting the research project, answering telephone calls from Ukrainians about the project, and likely, offering support for the interviewers from Statistics Denmark. We, on the other hand, offer an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in conducting large-scale survey-based research under the supervision and training of experienced researchers.
The project is led by senior researcher, Camilla Hvidtfeldt, from the ROCKWOOL Foundation in collaboration with associate professor Karen-Inge Karstoft, University of Copenhagen, Department of Psychology.
The ROCKWOOL Foundation Research Unit works impartially and scientifically to deliver research that contributes to strengthening the social and economic sustainability of the welfare state. The research unit consists of 81 employees. About half of them are researchers, and the remainder are PhD students, research assistants, and student assistants.
